About Us

I'm Jennifer Salerno, the founder of Skin Savvy Medical Spa. I have been a registered nurse for more than 25 years and after spending over a decade in the ER at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, I decided to change direction and open a Medical Aesthetic Clinic in the South Bay. That's when I partnered with Dr. Simona Arcan & took the leap in 2004.

The reason behind leaving the ER was because I discovered a deep passion for 'empowering' people by giving them choice & control over their appearance.  

I had struggled with my own skin conditions such as rosacea and premature aging and at the time, medical aesthetics started to grow rapidly. That's when I decided to take back control of my appearance. I attended medical aesthetic courses, educated myself on over-the-counter skin products, their marketing misinformation & learned how to improve my skin.

One of my core principles, along with educating my staff and patients, is being truthful and transparent. There are many companies who only care about filling their pockets rather than caring for the people they treat.

Skin Savvy wants every person, who walks through our doors, to experience a fun, exciting, and safe space where they get the best results!

I also want to mention that I am proud I have grown an incredible team who are passionate about the aesthetics industry and work really hard to make sure our patients are appreciated & valued. Building relationships with our patients is Skin Savvy's foundational principle.

On top of that, we are also one of the 'Nations' Top 500 Medical Spa's!!!
